This is not so bad....
I am on day number five. I know, five days and I am still going strong. What alien creature has taken over my mind? Today I did pretty good and I didn't cheat once. I was even tempted by a coworker with my weakness, PIZZA! I didn't give in. I just told him, "No thanks, I don't want that headache thing for 3 days again."
I'm pretty proud of myself. I have been able to resist my temptations and stick to this diet!
Here is what I had today:
Breakfast:
Strawberry Special K protein drink
Lunch:
Strawberry Special K protein drink
Mid-afternoon:
Vanilla Special K protein drink
and now for the good stuff
Dinner:
5oz piece of Talapia with lemon pepper seasoning
1 cup chopped spinach steamed with white vinegar
1 cup chopped baby carrots steamed in the same bag as the fish
5 oz salad from McDonald's with fat free Balsamic Vinigrette
My favorite thing about the meal this day?
I got to purchase something at McDonald's and it was NOT going to cause me to cheat! I think the best thing about this diet is that there is a very small selection of items you can eat which makes it much easier for me to decide. I know what I can and can't have. I hate the diets that say well, you can have a cookie but only a 1/4 of it! Oh, like a fat girl is going to resist eating the other 3/4 after that first bite! I've been there. I've done that. I was on insulin during pregnancy because of it! Don't tell me I can eat a cookie, cupcake or anything else for that matter if I should NOT be. And really, if I can't eat a serving size that is listed on the package or a portion that any "normal" person would eat, just don't put it on the diet!!!!
